Lego Engineering

Class Length: 32 weeks (2 semesters)

Description: In LEGO Engineering, students will be given various challenges to complete using LEGO robotics. Each team of students will be given an unassembled LEGO set and will have to use creativity and technical knowledge to assemble their own robot. Students will have to think outside the box and innovate to succeed in challenges such as obstacle course, racing, and catapult. Many physics concepts will be introduced; levers, gearboxes, and all manner of simple machines will be discussed and applied. Students will have to implement such ideas into their designs in order to complete many of the challenges.
